20 Years of Keeping Middletown Beautiful
Thursday, April 17, 2008 12:20:21 PM - Middletown Ohio

by John Beagle

Keep Middletown Beautiful, Inc is a Non-Profit 501-(C)3 Organization currently celebrating it's 20th anniversary in 2008. This organization was founded by the late Della Ewalt, a dedicated teacher and well respected member of the community.

Keep Middletown Beautiful is proud to continue beautification efforts of Della Ewalt (photo) who was the founder.

The goal is to create community awareness concerning the importance of litter prevention, recycling and our current focus, community beautification projects.

Keep Middletown Beautiful volunteered to Landscape Sunset Pool for the June 16th 2007 reopening. Thanks to donations by Eden Landscape Supply, Armbruster Florist and Garden Center and KMB volunteers, Keep Middletown Beautiful was able to turn this site into a tropical paradise.

"Welcome to Downtown" the Signs at Central Ave. and University Blvd. were renovated in 2006. Donations will pay for mulch, fertilizer and annuals for season-long color.

Keep Middletown Beautiful, Inc. Promotes residential Curbside Recycling

Curbside recycling is part of the weekly refuse pickup offered to residents in Middletown. Rumpke Recycling provides this service with the convenience of the red recycle bins available to all residents.
Recycling not only saves natural resources and energy, but it also shows how our actions make a difference in the environment. It is important to conserve landfill space for future generations and we encourage you to start a household recycle plan in your home, office or organization.

Where can I get a new recycle bin?
Rumpke Recycling Bins are availble inside the lobby of the Middletown City Building, located at One Donham Plaza check with the attendent on duty.
