56 Degrees Wine Bistro- Hot Spot

56 Degrees Wine Bistro

By: Randy Lewis

If you’re driving through downtown Middletown around dinner time and you notice a lot of traffic you may be in the area of one of downtowns most successful business: the newly established 56 degrees wine bistro

56 Degrees Wine Bistro is more than one might think, with ladies night on Tuesdays and live music on Fridays there is always something special going on. There is a very relaxed environment to this quaint restaurant and as one enters the 1045 Central Avenue business it may seem like you have walked into an expensive little hideaway, but as you scan the menu you will be pleasantly surprised to see that everything is quite affordable.

The bistro has 12 employees, and opened in Middletown on June 1st of last year; it has gained in popularity with each passing month. Co-owner Peggy Blankley told MiddletownUSA.com that she loves the downtown area, and has owned a couple of buildings there since 1989.

If you’re looking for a peaceful place to sit back, listen to music, and enjoy a nice selection of food and drink, then 56 Degrees Wine Bistro is here to serve you. Visit them at 1045 Central Avenue in Middletown, Ohio during their normal business hours of: Monday through Saturday opening at 4 p.m.

I have never been to 56 Degrees WB. I have heard good things about this place. Best of luck with your business, I wish you much success.

And yes, I need to try your place.

The Bistro is one of my favorite places. A visit there leads one to believe in the future of downtown Middletown. Good affordable food, coffee and wines you cannot find elsewhere, a relaxing atmosphere, and service which recalls the days when customer service was #1 on the agenda, will keep it a favorite place. All that and the best cheesecake ever!!!!! WOW

I've been there a couple of times, and I've enjoyed it both times.
Good food , modest pricing.
The 2nd time I took my 3 adult children and my daughter in law.
It was a pleasant lunch.

I've been to 56 Degrees on a few occasions and each time I had a pleasant experience. The wine selection is great and the service was friendly, the atmosphere is classy, cozy and not stodgy. The food is quite good also. I happened to be there one evening when there was live music and that was an added delight. My only complaint is that 56 Degrees closes rather early and I was disappointed when I went last night and it appeared to be closed before 10 PM ( or *gasp* shut down)! 56 Degrees is a neighborhood GEM and Middletown would be remiss to allow this lovely establishment go under. I'm from Cleveland and places like this could revitalize a neighborhood or a city and could be integral in a cultural renaissance for the city of Middletown.
