Annual International Cultural Exchange
Monday, September 25, 2006 5:25:08 PM - Middletown Ohio
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE:
CONTACT:  Vanessa Wynn, 5113-420-1574

Middfest International will be hosting a three-day business conference this year in the days preceding the annual International Cultural Exchange.  A number of business leaders from China have already arrived.

On Wednesday we will have a continental breakfast, presentations from local government officials and business leaders concerning the advantages to conducting business in Butler County at 1 North Main St. on the second floor. (the old C&G building)  Lunch begins at 11:30 during which Lt. Governor Bruce Johnson will be the speaker.

When his presentation is complete, we hope he will join us as we tour Cox Publishing's facility as well as the new structure being constructed by Premier Health partners of Middletown.

Thursday
convenes at the Manchester Inn in Middletown and our Chinese Nationals will be visiting local businesspersons who are involved in the same or similar businesses to theirs during the day.  We have a variety of visitors and companies hosting them.  Industries represented by our Chinese visitors range from publishing, restaurant and Inn ownership, textiles, real estate, transportation and distribution, mining and labor logistics. We know that all involved will learn from the practices of another culture.

Entertainment for the evening will be "Some Sunny Night" and original musical/opera that will premiere in the U.S, that night.  It is the true story of one of our visitors and the lessons his life has taught athletes from many countries.  No one should miss this event, whether or not they participate in the business exchange.  Presentation begins at 7pm at the Historic Sorg Opera House, with an Encore party immediately following for an opportunity to meet the performers under the tent by Manchester Inn.

Friday, following a morning trip to the Wright Patterson Air Force Base, we will host J. C. Wallace from the Ohio Economic Development Association  as our keynote speaker at the Ohio Business Leaders Luncheon at the Manchester Inn.  Registration and networking begin at 11:00.  Beginning at 4pm, in the Manchester, a business expo will give all in attendance an opportunity to share details concerning their company with those in attendance.  Participants will be from the United States and China.

We have planned a full agenda.  We hope to see many of you in attendance at one or more of our activities.  Call the Middfest office (425-7707) or Adriane Scherrer (705-4100) for details and registration.
