AUDITIONS TO BE HELD:
Friday, August 4, 2006 5:02:26 PM - Middletown Ohio
When: Tuesday, August 15 and Wednesday, August 16 beginning at 7:00 p.m.

Where: FIRST PRESBYTERIAN CHURCH, 2910 Central Ave in Middletown, OH 45044

Why: SOME SUNNY NIGHT musical/opera will be presented on Thursday, September, 28.2006 in the Sorg Opera House, in Middletown

Middfest International will present the North American/U.S. premier of SOME SUNNY NIGHT a musical depicting the heart warming true story of two young men, one Norwegian and one Chinese, both of whom suffered physical disabilities.  Together they forged a friendship that brought about the first marathon runs in Norway and China for individuals with disabilities.  Their story is of hope and courage will appeal to audiences of all ages.  The only performance of this musical will be presented in English on Thursday, September 28, 2006, in the Sorg Opera House. 

Jeff Powell, chorusmaster and frequent guest conductor for the Dayton Opera, is the Music Director for this production.  He will hold auditions to cast members for the Grand Chorus.  The auditions will be held in the choral room of the FIRST PRESBYTERIAN CHURCH, 2910 Central Avenue in Middletown on Tuesday, August 15 and Wednesday, August 16 beginning at 7:00 p.m.  Vocalists are asked to prepare and sing a short song.  An accompanist will be available. All voice ranges are needed.  Detailed information and a rehearsal schedule will be available at the auditions.
