Butler County Has Probable Swine Flu Case |

There are now a confirmed 900 swine flu cases nationwide and an increase of more than 250 cases from the previous day. There were a total of 896 confirmed cases of the swine flu virus in 41 states on May 7th which is up from 642 cases on May 6th.
In a new confirmed case an 18 year-old Ohio State University freshman tested positive this Wednesday for swine flu. There are six confirmed cases of swine flu in Ohio. It was first detected in the United States in April. In a news conference CDC officials announced that swine flu is expected to spread around the globe. It has already caused two deaths in Texas.
Right now Butler County is waiting for test results for a potential swine flue case involving a 30-year-old man. With a probable case it means the person has tested positive for Influenza. A virus found during the initial testing. There is also a 53-year-old man in Middletown that is listed as one of 46 suspected cases in the state. He is currently experiencing flulike symptoms after he visited Los Anglees.
