Children Services Worker Loads Scaled Down |

The Butler County Board of Commissioners passed a resolution Monday morning that will put a cap on the number of simultaneous cases a worker can be handling at once. Caseworkers may only be working 12 cases at a time now, down from the 15.4 average they were working previously.
Yet another reform since the Marcus Fiesel case, the sentiment behind the resolution is that with less cases per worker, individual children will get more attention. Children Services will not be hiring additional workers however, current employees will have their positions reclassified to deal with the now further-spread work.
