The Bureau of Labor Statistics, part of the U.S. Department of Labor, reported that the Cincinnati-Middletown metropolitan area had the second-lowest rate of unemployment in Ohio for April 2007. At 4.9% unemployed, we are down from 5.3% this time last year, but up from 4.8% from last month. Columbus is slightly lower than us, with a 4.8% unemployed rate -- equal to this time last year, and up from 4.5% in March.
