The proposed replacement for Middletown Regional Hospital, still in service on McKnight Drive, is between 50 and 70 residential units from Courtney Duff & Associates.
First, though, the buildings now standing will have to be torn down, the rubble removed and the site cleaned. The Butler County Port Authority is seeking a $3 million grant from the state to help pay for the hospital's demolition. Total costs for the operation are estimated at $8 million. At the end of the operation the site will be sold to Courtney Duff for development for about $200,000.
