CVB COMPLETES SPORTS INVENTORY

Anyone planning a sporting event in Middletown may want a copy of the Middletown Sports Facilities Inventory.   The Middletown Convention and Visitors Bureau, with the help of volunteer researcher Nancy Nix, has now compiled a list of sport facilities in the Middletown area. The report includes everything from soccer fields and gyms to city parks and golf courses.

Compiled as a part of an on-going joint effort of the Middletown and Warren County CVB’s, the list of venues will be used to market the Middletown area to groups holding regional and national competitions.

According to Dave Pearce, CVB Board president, “Middletown has some of the finest sport facilities in the southwestern Ohio region. We already host several major soccer events, sport shooting events at the Sportsman’s Club and hope to attract other events as well.  Tournaments bring people from long distances who will stay in Middletown hotels and spend their entertainment dollars in Middletown restaurants, retail shops and gas stations. This is a growing segment of economic development for our city via the hospitality industry.”

The Middletown CVB also offers a list of area meeting facilities, information on the Middletown Exhibit Center, lists of area clubs and organizations, restaurants and hotels. The Middletown visitor guide and map will be available this week.

Middletown logo pins, mugs and a series of postcards with six different local scenes are now available for purchase in local gift shops.

For information or copies of any of the lists, contact the CVB at 513-422-3030 or email to info@visitMiddletown.org.                                                                          ####
