CVB EVENT MANAGER MEETING ANNOUNCED

 

Area event managers and others interested in local entertainment are invited to an Information Exchange meeting, one of a continuing series of meetings to share helpful information among the various local groups presenting entertainment events and attractions in and around Middletown.

 

The meeting, free and open to the public, will be held at the Middletown Journal, 52 S Broad Street, in Middletown on Wednesday, May 25, from 5 to 7 p.m.

 

The subjects to be discussed are: Getting the word out. Newspaper 101.  How to best work with the media to tell the public about an event. There will be a tour of the Journal operation as the next day’s edition is being put together. Even those accustomed to working with the media will likely benefit from this refresher session which will incorporate recent technology and system changes. Other local media will also be invited to share ideas with the group.

                                                 

The Play Middletown promotion concept will be discussed during the meeting.

The Event Managers Information Exchange meetings are sponsored by the Middletown Convention and Visitors Bureau in an effort to share helpful information among the many organizations presenting entertainment in Middletown. Meetings are held in various locations and cover a different topic of interest to the group at each meeting.
