Dog Fest 2009 will take place in West Chester this weekend on June 13th and 14th from 11:00 AM to 5:00 PM at the Voice of America Museum Park on Tylersville Road. The event will take place behind the museum on the practice soccer fields. An $8.00 donation per car is required.
Dog Fest, in its tenth year, originated as a day for Butler County residents to bring their dogs out for a day of community fun. This year's event is expected to bring in over 15,000 people and over 110 booths with entertainment, demonstrations, contests, and food for you and your dogs! The goal of the festival is to educate families about the many animals in shelters in the Cincinnati area up for adoption, but also for you to have fun participating in games and contests with your own pet. There is even a parade! Visit the Dog Fest website for a complete schedule of events.
Dog Fest is hosted by the Progressive Animal Welfare Society (PAWS) in Middletown. They are a non-profit, no-kill animal shelter which houses approximately 80 dogs and cats at any given time. They are located off the I-75 corridor and have been in business for over 25 years.
