By: Randy Lewis The Madison Mohawks have to be feeling great after Saturday’s victory over the Valley View Spartans, not to mention the fact that they are ranked in the top 13 in Ohio division 3 Basketball. The Mohawks are 10 and 1; Saturday’s game though had to have given them a bit of a scare. As the Mohawks and the Spartans took to the hard court the game seemed to over by the first half.
But as the second half got on started the Spartans come out swinging. With the help of David Dupps the Spartans narrowed the gap to 5 points with under 1 minute left, in the end though the Mohawks would not be denied. Tyler Dietz and Mark Maloney both had double digits and the box and one defense mat have been affective it did not stop 6 foot 4 senior Justin Brunswick from dropping 13 points.
As the buzzer sounded the Mohawks walked away with a 67- 59 victory and a little more confidence in their ability to hold of a team that’s record doesn’t show just how good they really are.
