Disaster Assistance for Businesses affected by Hurricane-Force Winds of 9/14/08

The SBA just announced yesterday that low-interest disaster loans are available. This includes most private, non-profit organizations. Could qualify for up to $2M with interest at 4% and a term of up to 30 years. The SBA determines eligibility based on size and type of business and its financial resources. Help cannot start until they submit an SBA Disaster Loan Application.
Applications and program info are available by calling the Customer Service Center at 800-659-2955 Mon through Friday 8 am to 9 pm and Saturday 9 am to
9 pm EST or via email at disastercustomerservice@sba.gov. Loan applications can be downloaded from www.sba.gov/services/disasterassistance. Completed applications should be mailed to U.S. Small Business Administration, Processing and Disbursement Center, 14925 Kingsport Rd, Fort Worth, TX 76155.
Victims may apply for a disaster loan from SBA's secure website at https://disasterloan.sba.gov/ela/. The deadline to return enconomic injury applications, is October 16, 2009.
