Jason Krause has been chosen to be the head coach of the South team in the annual Miami Valley Football Coaches Association all-star game for the second time in three years. The game will be played on June 12th at Dayton’s Welcome Stadium. Krause told Skip Weaver from the Middletown Journal that it’s an honor to be selected because you are voted on by your peers. It’s a fun opportunity because the majority of kids are going on to play at the college level.
The staff for Krause’s all-star team includes several of his own Middie staffers that include Joe Snively, Brett Stubbs and Matt Tyla. The rest of the staff members are Brad Childers, Butch Stidham, Andy Helms and Barak Faulk. Right now they are in the process of selecting players for the 45-man roster. It will have to be set by the MVFCA’s next meeting in April.
He also told Weaver that Middletown’s senior offensive lineman Ethan Harig has been accepted a spot on the roster. Starting on May 25th the team will be allowed to have 10 days of practice. Krause told Weaver that they are wanting to bring back a win for the south and will use that as motivation for the kids and also have them enjoy the experience along the way.
