Interim City Manager Steve Husemann is expected to recommend placing an income tax increase on the November 6 general election ballot to support the operational costs of the Middletown Police and Fire Departments.
The proposed 0.25% increase was recommended last spring by Vice Mayor Tony Marconi and Councilman Jim Armbruster. This expected increase will also be on the ballot with the school levy renewal and increase, putting 3 tax issues on the ballot in November if it comes to pass.
