On March 22nd there were about 20 Middletown High School students who modeled their latest styles in the “Take My Breath Away” prom fashion show. The cheerful audience was very supportive of the students. They modeled dresses and tuxedos from Camille’s of Tri-County Mall and Skeffington’s of Bridgewater Falls.
Sometimes the students would just walk across the stage, stop and turn toward the audience. On other times some students would put on a show for example the girl would pretend to have a fishing rod and the guy would be the fish. Austin Majors told Eric Robinette of the Middletown Journal that it was fun and Eric Reddina also told Majors that is was hilarious. Other students in the show were Abbie Birchwell, Ashley Brand, Tonaya Brownlee, Madeline Fening, Lena Habash, Celeste Larson, Ellie McGuire, Gracie Taylor, Tamika Tompoulidis, Lauren True, Amy Worrell, Anthony Buchanan, Jeremiah Burg, Corey Bush, David Cole, Kyle Hart, Patrick Seick and Boyce Tolson.
This event was a fundraiser for Middletown High Schools after-prom. Beth Birchwell who is the fashion show coordinator told Robinette that she hadn’t yet counted the totals but the presales generated $200 of the $500 goal. She said the kids did an amazing job on only two rehearsals. It was tremendous. Middletown’s prom will be held on May 9th at the Sharonville Convention Center and after-prom will be at the Atrium Family YMCA.
