Congratulations to Tone Everhart, who is a senior at Middletown High School. Tone has been selected as a finalist for the Sharon Thomas Memorial Scholarship, a $20,000 scholarship that is awarded by the Marvin Lewis Community Fund to a student athlete in the Greater Cincinnati area, who has been raised by a single-parent or has had a mother/caretaker that has suffered from breast cancer.
As part of the process of choosing between finalists, Everhart met with Cincinnati Bengals coach Marvin Lewis where he discussed his experiences of growing up in a single-parent home and his goals of becoming an engineer. Along with being a varsity offensive lineman, Everhart is also on the chess team and participates in Big Brothers/Big Sisters. Within the next week, the winner of the scholarship will be announced, and Middletown wishes Tone Everhart the best of luck regarding the scholarship and his future goals.
