To All Area Churches and Congregations,
Middletown, like so many others, used to be a city of progress. It was also a city of prayer. One that knew corporate prayer from the municipal level was vital for growth to state and federal levels as well.
One thing certain- our economy is in trouble. Another certainty is, though we are organizations and churches of diverse denominations and beliefs, the universal fact remains that God cares about the needs of His people. We firmly believe that He wants to hear from us.
If My people who are called by My name will humble themselves, and pray and seek My face, and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin and heal their land. 2 Chronicles 7:14 – New King James Version
Middletown Kiwanis, along with Pastor Lamar Ferrell of Berachah Church, would like to challenge all area churches and their congregations to participate in Middletown's First Annual National Day of Prayer Breakfast on Thursday, May 7th from 6:30 am - 7:15 am.
We will be praying that once again, God would place His hand upon our federal, state and local government.
The prayer agenda is as follows:
· President and First Family
· Vice-President and Family
· Supreme Court, Senate and Congress
· State Senators and Governor
· City Mayor, Council, Police Chief and Fire Chief
· Church
To ensure that all areas of government are being prayed for, please have each person at each table pray over one of the above topics.
To keep things focused and simple, each church will host and supply their own Prayer Breakfast.
For further information or to participate in this event, please contact Tammy Robert at (513) 649-1752.
By uniting, we can achieve great things.
