On Thursday 24, 2009 the Middletown Lyric Theatre located at 1530 Central Ave. in downtown Middletown will begin a four day performance of the musical “Honk” a twist on the classic tale of the “Ugly Duckling” The musical begins on Thursday and runs until Sunday.
The Middletown Lyric Theatre is in its 31st season, it began in 1978 with a production of “The Fantasticks.” Tickets for Honk can be purchased for $15.00 at the theatre or online.
Cast for the Musical is as follows: Megan Corrill - Duckling Beaky, Brenda Cox – ID, Heidi Cox - Penny the Swan, Joseph Cox - Tom Cat, Abby Caskey - Ducking Billy, Betty Coulter – Bullfrog, Alyssa Cousineau – Cat, Corey Hardy – Ugly, Ellen Horton – Dot, Keira Kirby - Ducking Waddles, Michael Schlotterbeck – Drake, Les Landen - Greylag, Emily Meinerding -Duckling Downy, Sarah Snyder - Ducking Fluff, Pam Steiniger - Her Grace, Lori True – Maureen, Barbara Valle – Lowbutt, Jessica Waldman – Henrietta, Jeff Nye – Turkey. The show is directed Janet Powell.
