The Middletown High School Marching Band finished their 2007 season off in high fashion on Saturday. The band traveled to Columbus to perform in their 6th straight Ohio Music Education Association State Marching Band Finals on Saturday. The band received the highest rating of a I (Superior), which is the top honor in OMEA Marching Band. This is Middletown's 3rd superior rating in the past 5 years.
The band competed throughout the fall and received three overall superior ratings which qualified them to compete at the state level. Other awards included Best Percussion, 2nd place in class, 3rd place in class, and scores that landed them in the top 5 bands in fields of 15-20 at 4 contests.
