Middletown Police Division (MPD)
Last week the Division of Police sent six police officers for a week to Core Criminal Investigation training in Milford, Ohio (sponsored by Ohio Peace Officer Training Academy). This training was free thanks to credits given to the department by OPOTA in return for our officers instructing at the academy throughout the year. Criminal investigation is a part of every officer’s job and first responder preliminary investigation plays a huge part in the solvability of a case. All detectives have received specialized training in this field and now the department is sending all supervisors and patrol officers to the same training. This training enables each officer to have the tools necessary to investigate crimes of all types.
