As the electronic book (eBook) market continues to take off, eBook sales are starting to overtake the sales of both hard cover and paperback books. It is becoming increasingly more popular to use your mobile technology to download your favorite literature. Middletown Public Library and other local libraries are taking advantage of this new trend and are offering eBook checkouts.
If you have a Middletown Public Library card and a mobile reading device such as an IPod, IPad or Kindle you can now visit the library with that device. The librarian at the information desk will instruct you on how to download ebooks from their library.
You can browse by category, search for favorite authors, do research, and even get on a wait list for your favorite book. When the book is downloaded on your device, you have two weeks to read it before it is automatically deleted.
