Middletown Schools Continuing to Improve |

The Middletown City School District once again has achieved the rating of "continuous improvement" that it earned last year. However, this year the indicators the district has acquired has doubled from five to 10 out of the 26 indicators.
Of the 10 buildings in the disctrict, seven have improved their performance index score. Among them are Miller Ridge Elementary (94.9 performance index), which is now the only school in the district rated excellent, Verity & Vail (now Middletown Middle School - 85.5 and 83.0 respectively), and Middletown High School (89.5). Other schools also improved their designations including Amanda, Creekview, Highview and Wildwood. All of the advancement brings the overall district-wide performance index to 85.9.
According to the recently released state reports from the Ohio Department of Education, the district now has seven schools that are rated "effective" or better. That's more than double the number of schools compared to last year when the district only had three.
Students, teachers, and staff continue to demonstrate hard work and improve the growth in the Middletown City School District. With this solid, across-the-board progress, the Middletown community is sure to be pleased.
