RX Coverage through Medicare D

If you receive Medicare and are having trouble paying for your prescription drugs you need to know about a new Medicare prescription drug benefit called Part D of Medicare. The 741 Senior Center will host an information program on Medicare D on Thursday, May 19, 2005 at 12:20 PM.  A lunch of veal parmesan will be served at noon prior to the presentation.  Warren County Community Services, Inc. senior housing sites throughout the county will host similar programs in May.

Medicare D begins January 1, 2006.  There will be a monthly Part D premium of about $37 per month with annual deductibles and co-payments. Seniors may be eligible for extra help paying for the Part D premiums, deductible and co-payments but individuals must apply to see if they qualify for this valuable subsidy.  Applications will be available at the 741 Center at the presentation on May 19. To make a reservation for lunch or for more information call the 741 Senior Center Older Americans Month activities call

513-695-2239.
