SECOND EVENT MANAGER MEETING SET BY MIDDLETOWN CVB

Any managers of local events or anyone interested in joining the Information Exchange is invited to an open meeting, the second such meeting, to discuss mutual issues surrounding local entertainment events.

Sponsored by the Middletown Convention and Visitors Bureau, the meeting will be held 4 to 6 p.m., January 18, 4^th Floor meeting room, Middletown City Building, 1 Donham Plaza, downtown Middletown.

A first meeting of local event managers and interested parties was held in November with 55 people attending and has led to a second meeting to discuss some of the issues raised at the first meeting.

The January 18 meeting, led by John Sawyer of Sawyer Realtors, will focus on an exchange of ideas for how local events can help each other through cross-promotion, creative scheduling, joint ticket packages or other ways. An update on current issues affecting local events will also be on the agenda..

Those attending will be asked to help select topics for any future meetings of the group.
