SKYDIVERS AND HOT AIR BALLOONIST PROMOTE OHIO CHALLENGE
Team Fastrax competition team skydivers and the hot air balloon team led by Middletown pilot James Wannemacher will be demonstrating their skills in a special jump sequence Wednesday, July 13 at Skydive Greensburg, in Greensburg, Indiana, located at the county fairgrounds/airport.
Since both groups will be performing at the upcoming Ohio Challenge Hot Air Balloon Festival, July 22, 23 and 24, 2005 in Middletown, they are joining together to help promote the event.
At 7 a.m. (weather permitting), the Team Fastrax skydivers will be jumping from the Wannemacher hot air balloon. Then at 9 a.m., the hot air balloon crew will jump with Team Fastrax from their plane.
Other regional media people have been invited to do tandem jumps or ride in the plane to observe the jumps during the 9 a.m. flight.
Hot air balloon pilot James Wannemacher serves on the executive committee for Ohio Challenge and is a competition pilot throughout the three day event. Team Fastrax will be bringing their entire group of 20 jumpers to perform several times throughout the event. Their jumpers include a Men's 4-way competition team, Women's 4-way competition team, Demonstration jump team and the Canopy Pilot competition team. The entire team will be at their Pavilion on the grounds of Ohio Challenge before and after each jump to give interviews, autographs and meet people. According to David Hart, Team Fastrax lead jumper, “Along with the Army Golden Knights, Team Fastrax is the most complete and ambitious skydiving team organization in the world.”
