SORG Stages "Spirits" Scavenger Hunt & Street Party
Friday, October 31, 2014 2:06:06 AM - Middletown Ohio

1st Annual "Spirits of Sorg Walking Dead Scavenger Hunt"

and Street Celebration Benefiting the Sorg Opera House

Middletown, OH:  The historic Sorg Opera House revitalization effort will once again kick into high gear on October 25th with a "Walking Dead Scavenger Hunt" and post-event street fundraising party to accelerate its restoration program and boost downtown businesses.

The event is being presented in collaboration with the Middletown Historical Society, Haunted Cincinnati Tours, Downtown Middletown Inc, local businesses and organized

by the SORG group.

SORG will stage its inaugural annual Halloween-themed event as a "post-zombie apocalyptic celebration" for the entire family, while giving residents an opportunity to supporting the Sorg revival program.

Main Street in front of the Opera House will become a vibrant stage and street party featuring continuous bands, food and merchant vendors, a costume contest, energy readers from The Cincinnati Metaphysics League, "trunk or treat" classic car show (compliments of the Middletown Pacemakers), and other attractions.

The day begins with the "Walking Dead" scavenger hunt from 10:00 AM to 12:00 noon (check-in at 9:00 AM) followed by a full day of great food, music, costumes, and great memories until 9:00 PM.

"We're really looking forward to this event -- there's a lot of general interest in paranormal activities and old buildings, but all we're providing here is a fun way for families, kids and people to enjoy their community and it's treasured landmark," said Chuck Miller, President of SORG, "it's going to be a 'howl!"

All-day pass admission includes the scavenger hunt and post-street party for $25.00, or just $10.00 to enjoy some great entertainment and family fun. Tickets can be purchased at the website (www.spiritsofsorg.org) or the day of the event.

More details about the event are posted online at www.SorgOperaHouse.org
