The second year of The Knowledge Cafe debuted on September 10 at the Verity Lodge on the campus of Miami University Middletown. The first session covered the fundamental marketing best practices that are capable of influencing the success of a social media campaign. As always, the event included light refreshments along with discussion and conversation on social media technologies and topics.
The second year of The Knowledge Cafe has some new features, the most significant of which is the addition of Studio Workshops. These studio workshops are highly interactive, hands-on sessions that will allow attendees to work on creative projects that will benefit their own social media pursuits. Both collaborative and individual work are possible with helpful guidance readily available.
The first Studio Workshop session will be held on Tuesday, September 22 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Verity Lodge. The topic will deal with building creative approaches from common, everyday items and findings and will utilize the book "The Pocket Scavenger" by Kery Smith. There will also be some "prework" for attendees to complete which can be found here.
If you are interested in attending either The Knowledge Cafe or the Studio Workshop or you are interested in more information please contact Susan Baim at baimsa@miamioh.edu or 512-727-3444.
