Trenton Vice Mayor Speaks to Women In Networking |
Friday, January 10, 2003 12:00:00 AM - Middletown Ohio |
Rhonda Freeze, vice-mayor of the city of Trenton shared her experiences in leadership with the 75 women gathered for the monthly luncheon meeting of the Mid-Miami Valley Chamber of Commerce Women in Networking (WIN) at the Manchester Inn on January 9, 2003.
Ms Freeze cautioned against “hardening of the attitude” and assured everyone that each person had leadership qualities regardless of their station in life. She urged those in attendance to take risks and accept the inevitable defeats as a learning process.
Also speaking at the luncheon were Janet Murphy of Consolidated Business Products who explained money saving tips to use when buying printers and fax machines, and Paula Noble of the Manchester Inn who offered networking tips.
The next meeting of WIN will be held at the Manchester Inn on February 13 when public relations business owner and author Ann Mort will speak about “Shopping the Superslab: I-75” which is also the title of one of her books about travel.
WIN luncheons are open to Chamber members at $13.50 per person and non-members at $25 per person which includes a salad buffet lunch. Call 422-4551 or visit the Chamber website at www.mmvchamber.org for reservations. Those who attend are urged to bring canned goods to be donated to the Feed the Hungry project and gently used business clothing for the Room For Change project. |
