Upcoming Road Construction in Southwest Ohio |

The Ohio Department of Transportation has issued a report on planned highway construction projects for the coming years in Southwest Ohio. We've paraphrased a couple items that may be of specific interest to Middletown citizens. You can view the whole list of expected road work at the Ohio DOT website.
Butler County
Work is scheduled to begin in April, 2008 on the I-75/SR 63 interchange from just south of SR 64 to just north of SR 63. The pavement on I-75 beneath the SR 63 overpass will also be widened and repaired. Total cost of the project is $56 million.
Almost four miles of highway from the Butler/Warren County line to just south of the Middletown Corporate line is to be repaired and widened beginning in spring 2008. In addition, a median lane is to be added through the entire length of the project. Total cost of the project is $69 million.
Warren County
About 12 miles of highway from just north of the Butler/Warren County line to the Montgomery County line is to be repaired and widened. The I-75/SR 122 interchange is also going to be improved by adding additional travel and turn lanes. Construction is to cost $106 million, and is expected to begin in spring 2009.
