Middletown’s new economic
development director has Hamilton
roots

MIDDLETOWN — 

Jennifer
Ekey, the economic development director for the city of Harrison,
was named to the same post in Middletown
today.

Middletown
City Council voted 5-0 to appoint her to the job at tonight’s council meeting.

Two candidates received second interviews, and “Jennifer came
out the clear winner,” said City Manager Doug Adkins, who recommended her.
Adkins told the Journal-News her prior economic development work in Hamilton makes her familiar with Butler County’s
assets.

Ekey,
of Maineville, has been with Harrison since 2008, and before that, she was an
economic development specialist for the city of Hamilton.
