Here is your Christmas Challenge..this year only buy gifts that are made in the USA.

Not only will you save a great deal of money because you can't find anything but you will fully understand what has happened to the US Economy.
Now is the time for us to use the power of the dollar and help the US not China.

Gift cards would be difficult since they would probably be used for imported goods.
Jewlry is out--about 90% of gold and nearly 100% of diamonds come from South Africa.
Most so-called "domenstic" products contain a great deal of foreign parts, and are really just assembled here.
That leaves things like Omaha or Allen Brothers steaks; Indian jewelry (non-sterling);  books by American authors;  a very few blankets and even fewer lines of similar goods;  movie tickets (non-foreign films);  or domestic beer, wine, or liquor!

This is tougher than it sounded at first!!! Embarrassed

It really is a difficult challenge. This is my third Buy USA Christmas. In order to meet this challenge I have to shop all year for paintings, pottery, hand made items, quilts, books and cook books. Then we have great candies, wines and cheese. Blown glass and wooden Christmas tree ornaments. Some cookware and small items are still made in this county. We need to support these US companies and families..if they fail they will not get a bail out!

We are selling our souls and jobs for STUFF MADE IN CHINA!

I like it. I will go out of my way to buy the USA. But please put some Made in the USA stickers on your products so its easy to identify.

Nice challenge.

Reminds me of a story I wrote in December of 2007 about "Spineless Yahoo" giving out information that sent a few monks to prison for speaking up against the Chinese government.

At the bottom of the story is a link to a Shop America website.
