Ms Andrews was exactly right about the Socio-economics of the students and schools and Section 8 plays a part in that.

"By law, a PHA must provide 75 percent of its voucher to applicants whose incomes do not exceed 30 percent of the area median income. Median income levels are published by HUD and vary by location."

Pac- Ms. Andrew brought that up in the Section 8 discussion with Council last night. The school folks- particularly- Tyus, Andrew and Fiora didn't seem pleased with the numbers of Section 8 that Council is bringing into town and the consequences it's having on the school performance and cost. Got a newfound appreciation for Andrew and Fiora last night. Didn't care for them before.
