Fenwick High School will celebrate the inductions of eight former students — four Hall of Achievement and four more Athletic Hall of Fame — at its annual induction dinner, which will be held Sunday, Dec. 5 at Fenwick High.

Rosella “Sally” Jackson (Class of 1960); Edward Dobrozsi (Class of 1967); Carl E. Esposito (Class of 1971) and Col. Bichael Asastasia (Class of 1984) will be inducted into the Fenwick Hall of Achievement for 2010.

The 2010 Athletic Hall of Fame inductees are: Paul “Butch” Donisi (Class of 1965); Tracy Gallagher Esposito (Class of 1987); Margaret Bees Gilbert (Class of 1985); and Coach Wayne Gallagher (1982 to 1992).

The deadline for dinner reservations has passed. Call (513) 727-1500 for ticket availability.

*********************************

While it appears that I will be unable to attend, I do want to congratulate all of this years inductees, and especially Carl and Ed, and most especially Butch Donisi.

Butch, a Viet Nam war veteran, was an outstanding athlete throughout our school years (both elementary and high school) and truly deserves this honor.
He had a smokin' fastball that ruined at least three of my catcher's mitts.  He could hit the ball a country mile.
As an offensive lineman, he could "double-team" any opposing lineman by himself.  On defense, he was a bull.

Here's to all of this year's inductees, but most of all, here's to YOU, Butch!!!
