Does anyone know what transpired late Saturday evening at the Pendleton Art Center? Police cruisers and emergency squad were outside. No mention of anything in the local paper today.

Mike,
You have always had a good sense of humor but I think you are getting funnier the older you get. Keep on.

I'll take a stab at it since the Journal won't tell us.....

Please keep in mind, this is only a hunch.

A group of NASCAR watchin', beer drinkin', country music lovin' folks outside the arts community went into the PAC to see what all the excitement was about. Shortly after entering the PAC, and seeing what was offered was not what they were use to, they quickly became agitated and got a little "antzy", especially when they went to check out the menu as they were hungry. They were looking for some dollar hamburgers and a cold beer to soak 'em down. When they found out that the cheapest thing on the menu was a 15 dollar burger, with a pickle slice and three potato chips, and the only thing offered to drink was a 20 dollar glass of wine, they became irate and started using inappropriate language for an arts environment like "aw shucks" and "dam it"........and the cops were called.

Some in the NASCAR crowd became ill as a result of their systems not being able to handle the more healthy fru fru food as their systems were use to lard fried burgers and bacon grease fries......and the emergency squad was called to attend to those in distress.

Dunno, just a guess on my part.

I'm so proud of my hometown and what it has become. Recall 'em all. Let's start over.
