Any one getting to the South end of Town might want to try The Cottage Donut Shop. They are at the corner of Oxford-State and Yankee road. I honestly don't know who has the best donuts in Town now because the Cottage donuts are so good!

The Shop is run by Larry Banks, a AK Retiree, and his Family who have had a lot Business experience in Middletown over the years.

Try one, they even have a Drive Thru!

I seen the shop just before they opened and never gave it a thought actually,but I will stop in sometime and check them out. Thumbs%20Up

Actually this place has been mentioned here, and has been in operation for a while(now open on Sundays!)
 
We are very fortunate to have three specialty donut shops in town, with The Cottage, Milton's and Central Pastry. Another plus to this situation is that each small business facility has their own signature items, none of which are the same type of product.
 
Being someone who operated scratch bakeries for 20 years, I very much appreciate each unique location and can attest to the quality and effort involved.

Middletowns%20Cottage%20Donut%20ShopSince January of this year the southwest end of town has been home to an up and coming business called the Cottage Donut Shop. Owned by Larry Banks, an AK Retiree who lives in Monroe, the Cottage serves possibly one of the busiest intersections in Middletown, with Monroe and Trenton only seconds away from the shop, which is located at the on the corner of Yankee and  Oxford State Road.

The big attraction at the donut shop seems to be Blueberry Cake Saturday, caramel iced cake donut and the apple fritters that Lindsey Murphy, an employee at the Cottage, told MiddletownUSA are severed daily and that customers line up for.
