   Kelly Cowan serves as Dean of Students for Miami University Middletown, in specific that means she:

Serves as chief administrative officer; provides
leadership in the development and operation of Campus programs,
services, facilities, and resources. Provides leadership for campus
relationships with other institutions, campuses and schools, regional
business and industry, and governmental agencies and representatives.

Promotes the Campus as a key resource for
educational, economic, and cultural development among the communities
within the service region; represents the Campus on major community
boards, e.g., Mid-Miami Valley Chamber of Commerce, Middletown Area
United Way, Middletown Community Foundation, Rotary International;
fosters partnerships with regional schools, other public agencies, and
the business community; works with the Middletown Campus Citizens
Advisory Council.

Reports and advocates the interests and needs of the
Campus within the University, the service region, and the State of
Ohio; serves as a member of the Ohio Association of Regional Campuses.

Evaluates and supervises all Campus operations,
including Campus planning, resource development, and budget. Recommends
faculty and staff promotions, salary increments, and leaves.

Serves on President's Council, Council of Academic
Deans, University Promotion and Tenure Committee, and other University
committees as requested by the University President and/or Provost.
