As some of you may know from reading other threads, I have been working some weekends, playing Santa at one of our local Flea Markets. Yes, if you traveled to Treasure Aisle any time over the last four weekends then you no doubt seeing me there ho ho hoing my butt off.

This Sunday was my last day and while I was there I met a young girl, and her story really touched me. she has Cerebral Palsy and needs a service dog to possible help her with some daily activities. Barbie is a happy person, but has found it hard to make friends due to her disability. She is hopeful that a service dog can help her with daily activities and also be her best friend.

I realize times are tight for everyone and that money is hard to come by, but if  any one can help Barbie please do. If you had met this little girl as I did you would feel like I do. I have made a donation and if you would like to follow suite you can at 4 Paws for Ability "In honor of Barbie Brockmeyer  253 Dayton Ave. Xenia Ohio 45385

Marlayne, I want to thank you for your kind words and the offer to help Barbie, but the good news is Karin Johnson from channel 5 and myself were contacted by a business owner in the tri-state area that is willing to pay the entire amount and in fact this might just happen Monday. I am very happy to have taken part. I am now working on maybe helping another family.

I just spoke with Channel 5 news reporter Karin Johnson, the gentleman donating the money to Barbie, is Bill Deimling President of Deimling/Jeliho Plastics out of Amelia, Ohio, an eastern suburb of Cincinnati, Ohio. There will be an interview with him on Channel 5 news airing tonight (I think). I would like to thank Mr. Deimling for helping Barbie's Christmas wish come true.

Nice story randy- Saw it in Channel 5 news. The owner of the plastics injection molding shop made a tremendous gesture with the $7 thou toward the service dog. Great news for that family!!!!
