MIDDLETOWN — Little Caesar’s Pizza employees were held at gunpoint and locked in a freezer during an afternoon holdup.

Middletown police responded to a report of a robbery in progress at around 2:10 p.m. Friday, Feb. 19, at Little Caesars, 550 S. Breiel Blvd., after a heavyset man entered the business brandishing a handgun.

Police said the suspect was described as a black male standing 5 feet, 8 inches tall between 35 and 40 years old wearing a gray sweatshirt with a John Deere emblem on it and a brown coat.

Employees in the store were placed in a freezer inside the story and the suspect left the store with an undisclosed amount of money.

Anyone with information regarding this incident should call Middletown police at (513) 425-7737.

It's sad that anyone would be dumb enough to rob a pizza joint in the middle of the day. Kudos to the police for catching the robbers so quickly.
