It is almost coming like a daily occurrence now that Middletown is making the local news broadcast everyday, and it is not in a good way either.

Middletown police responded to the Elk's Lodge on 8th Ave. for a report of a gunshot fired Thursday evening.
A short time later, dispatch has been told that a subject had been shot.
The victim, Benwaun Edwards, age 20, of Bonita Dr. in Middletown had been shot in the side.
Edwards' friends were transporting him to the hospital when police
stopped them at Roosevelt and Marshall to take Edwards to Atrium Medial
Center.
The victim is listed in critical condition.
There were several people, including Edwards, in a small hallway
leading into Elk's Lodge when Edwards was shot. A black male was seen
fleeing the area on foot.
