I was told by the store manager that the building will not be empty and has already been sold or leased another company. He told me which company but I can't remember. Hopefully it's true though, because one more vacant building in our town, especially in such a prominent location, would be very sad.

I heard, at one time, that an Auto Parts Store was interested in it. Not sure if it is still true.

The rumor is that it will be an O'Riley's Auto Parts Store. That is UNCONFIRMED. Our Blockbuster Store will be closing on September 2nd. We lowered the prices Friday August 17th on our Previously Viewed DVD's and BluRay to $5.99. Still have lots of fixtures for sale and we will accept any "reasonable" offer.

Blockbuster's last day of business will be Sunday Sept. 2nd.
 We will be discounting on Friday Aug. 31st in order to clear everything out over the weekend. Lots of Fixtures still....these are great in the garage or workroom. Fri & Sat 10:00 am - 10:00 pm Sunday 11:00 am - 9:00 pm |

I am predicting either another parts store or fast food place would replace it. If anything can Middletown at least get a Chipotle or a Starbucks at that location? :o)
