British Car Show at Middfest International |
Thursday, September 25, 2003 3:23:36 PM - Middletown Ohio |
Scots were the first to cross the North American continent (Alexander MacKenzie in 1793), the first to build sturdy roadbeds of crushed stone and gravel (John McAdam in 1790) and the first to build large-scale bridges using cast iron (Thomas Telford in the early 1800s). It is just fitting that Middfest International, featuring Scotland, will also showcase some of the classiest of vehicles.
The British Car Show will be inside a tent to protect the valuable vehicles on the street near the Manchester Inn throughout the Middfest event, beginning with the exhibit opening on Thursday evening, October 2 at 6 pm and continuing throughout the weekend. Larry McCartt of Monroe, a local car collector has convinced the owners of the vehicles to lend them to Middfest for the weekend. Vehicles will be arriving from as far away as Lawrenceburg, Indiana, with several coming from local and regional owners.
Vehicles on display will include:
1932 Wohlsley Super Hornet Roadster 1935 M.G. PA Roadster 1954 M.G. TF Roadster 1950 M.G. YT Tourer 1952 M.G.
