Moon Over Buffalo - Showing Soon at Rising Phoenix Theatre Company
Monday, January 13, 2003 12:00:00 AM - Middletown Ohio
Rising Phoenix Theatre Company, in the second season as the area's newest professional live theatre company right here in Middletown! About to open their 10th show, the zany comedy, "Moon Over Buffalo," about a theatre troupe past their prime. "Just TRY to stop laughing as this over-the-top family acting group forgets to leave craziness in the dressing room! Wrong Costume. Wrong Lines. Wrong Show. And is that a Hollywood producer or someone's date in the closet?" The show features 8 well-known, professional actors from the region to continue the new tradition of having Great Theatre right here at home.

Rising Phoenix is the resident performing arts group at Temple Arts Center, formerly the Masonic Temple on Main Street near the newly opened intersection of Central and Main. Executive Director Christine Brunner is a member of the Theatre Department at Miami University, Oxford. Among a year-long season of fantastic musicals, dramas and family-friendly comedies, Brunner and a staff of theatre professionals teach Drama for Kids, and Acting classes for adults, and Temple Arts Center hosts Swing Dancing nights and is available for some events.

Prices for the Ken Ludwig comedy "Moon Over Buffalo," playing January 30, 31 and February 1, 2, 6, 7, 8, 9, 2003 are General $18, Seniors/Students $15 and Groups of 10 or more $13. Temple Arts Center is frequently visited by motorcoach groups, co-worker groups, church and neighborhood, student and drama club groups. Call now for information. 513-705-4131.
