Ohio Challenge gathers Zips! |
Tuesday, July 29, 2003 4:28:29 PM - Middletown Ohio |
For the three days of the Ohio Challenge Hot Air Balloon Festival, presented by MidFirst Credit Union, volunteers will be staffing the Tytus Avenue entrance to Smith Park gathering information to be used to estimate the economic impact of the event on the Middletown area.
Two volunteers will be at the entrance, one counting each person as they enter the park and another asking for zip code numbers from as many guests as possible. The information will then be used to estimate the total number attending and the likely percentage of guests from each zip code.
Organizers are letting the local people know of the survey in advance in an effort to make entry to the park as smooth and quick as possible.
Ohio Challenge will begin its counts at 4 p.m. on Friday, August 1 and continue 6 a.m. to 10 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday, August 2 and 3.
The survey information will also assist organizers in directing advertising for future events.
