Randy,
And thanks to you for your efforts to inform Middletonians, foster communication between citizens and City Hall, and provide a forum for candidates for local political offices (whether they choose to use it or not).

The elitists may not agree, but the majority of regular users of this forum are informed, sincere, intelligent folks who care about their community, and also are just plain GOOD people!

You are helping to raise the collective conscienceness of our city! It IS appreciated!!!

Today marks the close of the interviews with city council candidates;we would like to take this opportunity to thank all those that tookpart in the interview. To their credit not a single candidate turneddown our request for an interview. This process has sparked greatdebate here on the forums and has been instrumental in bringing newmembers to the site and raising the level of awareness about ourcommunity. Again we would like to thank all the candidates for takingpart.

For those of you who may not be familiar with our site our goal in allthis has been to encourage city leaders to join and expand the lines ofcommunication between our elected officials and our readers. At timesthis has been a great success and others not so much.

I want to remind our readers those that did come to MiddletownUSA.comand post comments to questions and pose new questions of their own areto be commended. It was our privilege to have them here, and I wouldlike to ask our readers to keep in mind that they are our guest, andeven though you may not agree with all that a candidate may have saidthey do deserve our respect.

Again thank you to all of our members and to all the candidates,
Randy Lewis

PS,
I have an upcoming interview with a school board candidate, I think you will enjoy. ]]> Wed, 30 Sep 2009 10:13:46 +0000 http://www.middletownusa.com/forum/forum_posts.asp?TID=2009&PID=11656&title=thank-you-to-our-guest#11656
