New HUD park? How about a new Central Ave. doggie park perhaps? Would bring people back downtown again. Large area.... would save Sunset Pool for future use should things get "brighter" here in town....envision landscaped walkways winding around this area with trees, bushes and mulch (all from Armbruster Florist, of course!) Benches strategically placed for doggie owners to sit and chat about their pooches. Envision a shed renting pooper scoopers and a Midd. police officer just a waitin' to fine some poor unsuspecting doggie owner for not cleaning up. Revenue for the city, Ms. Gilleland? How about that water feature at the entrance, advertising this mega attraction? (Perhaps a sign asking users not to ask questions as no one is prepared at this time to answer them, signed by the mayor) Could tie in the Farmers Market, Midfest, Bluesfest, Arts In Middletown, the Broad St. Bash, the AK Pavillion (whoops, nothing ever happens there except some "brick readin', mosquito slappin' and some joggin') and other events all linked to the horsedrawn transportation that would carry the multitude of people to and from the high speed rail station on Charles St. Yes sir, I can see it all coming together for our city leaders for the revitalization of downtown. Hey, forget those jobs leaving Robinette. We'll get some more jobs in town......someday. We got us a dyn O mite idea here to roll with instead.
