Good idea.

Losing the ability to take pictures from the garage will be my only regret of its demolition.

I decided to take one last panorama from the top of the parking garage

as I believe demolition is supposed to begin next week on the garage.

The remediation is starting to move along. Also noticed a few trucks

removing stuff from the old Swallen's building this afternoon.

Would be kind of cool if they kept the brick wall with arches and entrance as a monument to what was and as a decorative feature to what may ever develop there, if anything. ]]> Mon, 17 May 2010 20:01:44 +0000 http://www.middletownusa.com/forum/forum_posts.asp?TID=2970&PID=18973&title=sorg-demo-8#18973 Sorg Demo 8 : That bottom picture is kind... http://www.middletownusa.com/forum/forum_posts.asp?TID=2970&PID=18972&title=sorg-demo-8#18972 Author: Mike_Presta

That bottom picture is kind of poignant!!!

Seems like that sign should be over the door:

“Abandon hope, all ye who enter here”

The old Sorg is finally down as of today.

Looks like clean-up & remediation is about all that's left.

The ghosts of many a mighty nail-driving men hit the skids in this building.

One to set, one to drive, one to finish.

Thanks for the images. This part of the demolition may have the biggest visual impact on Downtown since it touches Central.

The remaining section behind the old First Financial is coming down.
