The following is copied and pasted directly from the minutesof the minutes of the November 16, 2010 City Council meeting discussionregarding the legislation authorizing the purchase of buildings for theCincinnati State project:

“Mr. Mulligan said this is an exciting time for Middletown.It’s a great time to partner with Cincinnati State and does require vision andcommitment. They have had very productive meetings. This project is moving fastand furiously. There has been an overwhelming response from the community. Geewhiz this is a great thing for Middletown and will attract national attention.This is the first step of many and Middletown is committed to seeing this cometo fruition.”

The following is copied and pasted directly from the January21, 2012 article in The MiddletownJournal:

“Mulligan said, however, the building purchases were done so the city could ‘control the futuredestiny of some of the important areas of downtown.’”

Of course we all know that the legislation passed and thepurchase of the buildings occurred.

So…which is it, Mayor Mulligan???  Did we buy these buildings fourteen months ago because theCincinnati State project was “moving fast and furiously” and required “commitment”???  Or were they bought so that you and yourfriends could “control the futuredestiny” of some areas that YOU think are important to youand your friends???

So, does Middletown have its own “Fast and Furious”scandal???  (Thankfully, the only personsin danger of getting “killed” in this “Fast and Furious” scandal are the taxpayers of Middletown,and who cares about them??  They can pack their bags and leave if they don’t likeit—right, Mayor???)

Gee whiz, Mayor, the citizens of Middletown are due an explanation of thesecontradictory statements.
