If they paid any rent it was very little. MidFest only needs a small office space if any. I think it is a great idea to lease the space to the school system. Great thinking and trying to cut costs. God knows they'll never pass another levey!!!!!]]>

Consolidation is a good thing. That is a huge building, filling it with the school administrative offices makes perfect sense in my mind.<br /><br />When there is good happening, I think we ought to recognize that. ]]>

I can remember a combination school board meeting and city council meeting at Highview Elementary school years ago, where the two groups looked at each other with visual contempt and struggled to talk to each other. Didn't look like cooperation to me. <br /><br />Guess they're trying to create one big happy family down at the city building now. If they had so much room on that 4th floor, why didn't they either close it off or lease it out for more city revenue money?  <img src="http://www.middletownusa.com/forum/smileys/smiley2.gif" border="0" align="middle" /> Gonna evacuate the admin. building in preparation for demolishing it along with the Wade E. Miller Gym and the old high school I guess. ]]>

Though the building is owned by the district, there are regular maintenance and utility costs.
