Drawing on traditional music of Appalachian culture, theSimpkins perform original songs using guitar, banjo, harmonica, autoharp,dulcimer, and voice. They have been performing for nearly 30 years at venuesacross the country, and have recorded many albums together. In April 1995, theyperformed for the Traditional Music Awards at the Grand Ole Opry- RymanAuditorium in Nashville, Tennessee. They have been listed in severalAppalachian and folk music projects with the Ohio Arts Council and The All Music Guide.
